Update on boys/ladies diver (vintage)
I just received the following watch:
Turns out, it was a Calibre 2205, Automatic (despite the title of the listing), boys or ladies size diver style. There was no real problem with the crystal, it just had some paint dripped on it! Also the bracelet is authentic Seiko & pretty clean overall. The watch is in better shape than the picture leads you to believe, just a few very minor imperfections.
It cleaned up real nice and seems to operate very well (timekeeping, quickset, date change,...).
It is labeled as a Hi-Beat - does anyone know the true beat rate of this calibre? I don't have the equipment to do this myself.
I haven't seen one of these before, have you? It appears to be a legitimate 70s Seiko.
What do you think? Was it worth the $26.00 to get it? (Rhetorical question only, my wife really likes it, but still considers it too heavy for her to wear).
