I've also seen very few of these as well on various sales 'forums' (ebay, dealer sites, Timezone ...) in comparison with the others you mention. I've only seen 1 or 2 on eBay this year (though I don't specifically look for them) while I've seen at least 10 or more 6105s in the same time & 6309s too many to count.
I'd say that if you find one @ a reasonable price - snap it up! The last one I saw was quite 'used' with a VERY scratch crystal & sold for a little under $130. I got a very clean 6105 for about $92 last year.
I hope my experiences give you some help.
Please note: Seiko will NOT tell you actual production figures - I tried them once for one of my old chronos & they declined to give me any indication of #s produced "for competitive reasons" even though the watch hadn't been produced in almost 25 years.
