What makes a diver's watch information (link)
Yours is a diver's style watch, but ... Seiko themselves considered the 62M (6217 as Don said) released in 1965 to be their first "true" diver's watch.

I like your watch, by the way. But I believe the 70m's weren't shock proof or anti-magnetic, hands not so bold and easy to read under water, etc.
Seiko 5's (water resistant to 100m) are still made in diver's style, but are not considered diver's watches by Seiko or rated for scuba diving.
