I vacilated on this topic for awhile, but did not buy the O&W (which does have a great reputation. Bottome line, in the discussions within the Forum is exactly what you just described. If you like the ruggidness of the Seiko, many of the Swiss watches won't cut it. I did buy the Zeno 300 m and it has an ETA movement which has been very good - but I had my SKX781 (as comparison to your write-up) and others regulated (some not regulated at all) and the Seikos go toe-to-toe with the Swiss movements.
