Experts --Seiko 7002 & 7S26 caliber movements. How do they differ?
Besides the 7002 caliber movement in the older version of the diver's watch being date only, and the 7S26 caliber being day/date -- how else do they differ?
I believe there are 17 jewels in the 7002, and 21 in the 7S26. Where were the jewels left out in the 7002, and where added in the 7S26? Does the lack of jewels in the one or the addition in the other make a significant difference?
Any other differences?
Although I'm intersted in all of the above, I guess what I'm really intersted in is this question: "Was the 7S26 cal. movement built on a platform which came from the 7002"?
Any information welcome.
Thank you,
Ryan
