I got a 7002-7009 back in 1990 after losing a 6309. I kind of hated it because it did not have the day and date, and did not quite have the same heft and feel / shape as the 6309. At the time, it was the only seiko diver I could find.

Anyways, if has performed flawlessly, had the living hell beaten out of it, and still works just fine. I treated it to a service at coserve for being such a fine trooper (plus wanted to make sure it would not leak!)

I with all the love of 6309, and the current fascination with 007's/5s26 auto divers, I would have to say this full size diver has been pushed out of the limelight like the little 2205 and 4205 auto divers. it deserves a better rep.
