I asked Seiko Japan about the 6217 and they say...
The caliber 6217 movement was manufactured from 1965 to 1968. But I don't know if those are also the dates for the diver. Actually, Seiko is not sure -- they say they don't have records of the production dates of the actual watch (the 62MAS/6217-8000T).
