A skx173 or 007, it is literally the "sixth model diver", the basic..
dive models which a direct descendant from the 7002 (5th model), begat from the 6309-729x (4th), from the 6309-704x (3rd model divers), from the 6105-811x, the 6105-8000,(2nd models) and finally, the original 62mas/6217, the first seiko model diver. the price is a steal, and your son will pass it on to his kids. if you don't actually dive it, more than likely, 20 or 30 years from now, without any service ever, it will be running like 15 minutes off or so a month be desperate for some lube in the movement and lume on the face, but fine otherwise.
