The display plate of the rotation bezel (Seiko 1000m diver's)
The detail structure of Professional 1000m diver's watch is shown in the following figure.
The display plate of the rotation bezel is made by the transparent acrylic resin (light blue portion of the figure), and is fixed into the groove of the main part of the bezel by adhesive and mechanical fixing method.
There is no marking or coating etc. at the front surface portion, and it consists of a lot of marking's dimple(white portion of a figure) at the bottom portion of the display plate, and the markings and a luminous paint of white color are painted into the dimples, and finally the bottom surface of the plate is coated by black color paint.
Although the markings of the display plate made by aluminum of the common diver's watch may disappear by crash or several shocks, but the display of 1000m diver's watch does not disappear due to this original structure. This technology was developed by 61/600m diver produced in 1975, and 75/600m and 7C/1000m were inherited from the technology.
