Seiko #2517-3309 Lady Diver restoration.......
Hi,
This Seiko Lady Diver #2517-3309 (see ebay link) is quite elusive; its has the cool angular styling of the Seiko 70m Diver #7005-8052, just mini-sized.
Here is the restoration:
-Got from Ramon for $17 - rotor was detached/loose parts; clasp not closing
-Got a NOS bezel from Randall for $25
-cleaned it up a bit; w/windex
-used polywatch on crystal--came out perfect
-Mailed in to COSERV NJ - in 10 days estimate of $60:
. Install NOS bezel N/C
. Movememnt repair $48
. New Seiko clasp $9
. New seals/gaskets N/C
I am quite happy as I am out the door with a rare lady diver factory serviced for $100! Got quoted $140-200 restoration cost from others; this is expected as, it was per email and not physical inspection.
All in COSERV seems to be doing all right!
