Hello Johnny,
This is the normal size for a boy's size/mid size watch. Here is mine. It doesn't look too small on my 6.75" wrist, right
?
I've got this one for my 10th birthday in 1979 . This has been my first Seiko and I had it restored last summer. It has even been pressure tested to 15 bar.
