This february 1970 or 1980 2205-0760 came from a fellow forum member and is looking very nice on its original band the the NOS bezel/bezel insert (thanks ww!). All it needs is a service and a relume (he is 5 and Iam waiting for his perfect time telling to blossom, this will be his gift/reward)
before the nos bezel, it was still darn nice looking.
Here it is flanked on the left by another february 1970 or 1980 2205-4090, courtesy of ebad. I don't know if they really came with pepsi bezels or if it was aftermarketed. strap is a trimmed down z17, again courtesy of the excellent sales service of ww at chronograph.com. To its right is a november, I guess 1979, 2205-0760. again a pepsi bezel. from ramon the watch collector thanks to a tip from pete- thanks! each daughter will get one, again after a relume and service and as a gift when they can tell time.
this 2205-0769 from june 1970 or 1980 was a "parts/repair" purchase from ramon at a very reasonable price. it was a little rough looking and runs hours fast a day. should the stork land again, it stands ready for a relume and service/movement repair.
it already looks a little better with the bezel from the first watch put on it. (the one I replaced with a nos one.) the 4 small dings were touched up if you look close with a dot/dab from a black paint pen.
these watches occaisionally come up at pretty reasonable prices. they may not be on par with the true monster professionals, but I hope the kids will pick up the tradition and pass them on to their kids.
