Outstanding...I enjoyed your post very much...
I have been torn on this watch for awhile. I want the auto version myself, but never seem to get to it. I already have a Quartz 200m, and like you say, it's always ready to go, in fact, I use it everyday to set whatever auto I'm wearing, and in fact, is the one I use actually diving (for over 10 years now - on just 2 batteries so far).
I too prefer SS over Ti, and silver over gold or yellow. I have 200mSQ, 6309, 6105, 7002, and other Japanese watches, as well as some Swiss and Russian (which I will sell).
Your post tempts me to get that Quartz after all.
