Hay there.
OK, I`ve found this out from looking at the different cases and movements, I have no text material to back this up, but I belive it correct.
The earliest, the 6306-7001 (same look and feel of the 6309) was fully made in Japan, movement, case, dial, ect.
Some early, real early 6309`s, right after the swich from the 6306 were made in Japan, but shortly there after, they switched the case and asembley work to Sigapore, the movement and the dial were still made in Japan, but the case was made in Singa, and the final assembly was done in Singa.
I`m not sure if at the end the watch was made intirely in Singapore, I dont remember seeing a 6309 marked Singapore, but its intirely possible. I do belive as soon as they switch over to the 7290 case style, everythign was made in Singapore, as the example I have has NO country of origin on the dial or case back.
Well, thats about all I know. The wide world of Seiko`s is always changing, and new things are being learned all the time, so this info is subject to change. But I do hope it helps.
