Have you considered SKX171K? Check out the black background at the day/date window (!!!), and the indices with highly polished stainless steel boarders! Also, the brushed stainless steel bezel on this one is just awesome! It is exactly the same as the SKX007/009, except for these differences.
You are right about the SKX007 and 009. The only differences between the two are the bezel color and price.
You cannot go wrong with one of these SEIKO diver's watches. The quality you get for the price probably makes this one of the best watches in the world -- certainly one of the best diver's watches.
