I haven't had it valued, but it is certainly a "gentleman's dress watch." Unfortunately, I'm not a gentleman, and I rarely dress like one, so it doesn't get much use. I would hate to damage it, as it is a sort of heirloom from my father to me. I was fascinated with the automatic movement as a small child, and he gave it to me on my wedding day. It gets worn for special occasions, and serviced every two years, but I'm horrible at taking off my watch for my shower, and it has no indication that it is watertight, so I leave it away most of the time.
