Bought my 6306 (hacking version of 6309)
in 1977 through a HK mail order house. I was starting as freshman in college . My first real watch for $85 USD. I took that watch with me on numerous diving trips from night, reef to gulf stream diving. I wore that watch throughout college and up to my first real job after college. I didn't have to do anything to it except changing the band once. Back then I didn't have an atomic clock to check for its accuracies but I always remember to sync up with any clock deemed important to me at that time. It's been resting lately along side with my Rolex GMT II, Sub date, Hamilton reissues, Suunto Mosquito and Citizen Navihawk. I was thinking of having it gone thru but decided not to since no one can seem to guarantee its waterproofness anymore. It definitely is a good watch...
