check the date window (more)...
I have a few Seiko divers (SKX007J/SKX009J/SKXA35) and I have noticed that the J models appear to have a slight bevel to the date window, where the SKXA35 (presumably the same watch as an SKX173) does not have this bevel. I have also checked the luminosity of the J models to that of the SKXA35, the A35 seems to glow a litle 'whiter' than the J models. I'm not sure if this is due to different luminous applications or not; I thought all the new Seikos were using Lumibrite. My 007J gains approx 90 sec/day (after 3 weeks of use) and the A35 is gaining approx 15-30 sec/day after similar use. (I havent yet tested the 009J). I've already been diving with the A35 (now on a waterborne strap) but didnt notice any difference in the bezel turning pressure. Both J's are from Chronograph.com (great place to do business) and my SKXA35 was obtained from diamondblaze.com.
