As many of you know, I`v been busy almost beyound compreshension. Although I usually spend my mornings reading the board (when it shows up,:^(), I`ve devoted much more time to the bench, and have not found alot of time to devote to actually postings. I`m not totally happy with that, as I miss everyone. I`m hoping to find some balance here within a few monthes, as I try and get caught up, and then, unfortunatly, place a limit on how much work I take in. Im` thinking something like 10-15 watches a month.
Anyways, heres some of the shots I`ve taken for owners over about the last two monthes. I try to take scans for the owers for two reasons, first, so they can anticipate what coming, also, so I ahve a record of whats going out in the mail, insurance purposes and what not. Truth is, there are some swiss watches here, but I`ll include them at the end.
OK, so heres some of whats crossed the bench,
This one was kinda custem. The markers had some corrosion on them, so my fix was to add the red. Unknown to me until I was done, I had the red stiched sirtoli to match. Very Racy
A Credor that came in for regulation. Very nice.
A fullon 6309 resto.
A very rare 6156A, five adjustments!
Another 5 adjusment caliber, the 6146.
Lantering, or tightening, a canon pinon. This gives the hand setting a good solid feel, and makes sure theres no problems latter on.
A fullon resto. A 1969, 6139, with a rarer A movement. You can see the rotating ring here has disscolored to a almost cream color. Probably spent alot of time in the sun.
Another Fullon Resto. Again, a rarer 6139A, with an original color rotating ring. I know I`ve got a few of these 6000/2/5 cases that have been here for what seems like forever. The big problem with these has been the crystals, I can only get two or three at a time, and they are gone just as fast as I find them, rest assured, I`m always trying to get them.
And finally, this trio of Seikos for Rob N.
And now, the folowing are Swiss. So you may chose to not look any further.
Big Bob A`s Benthos 1000M. Service and relume of a NOS peice.
We wanted to keep as much of this Omegas character as possible, so I mixed up a flavor of SLN I call antique. I also decided to leave the case alone, as it added to the character of the watch.
This 14k T30 Omega was a fullon resto, including a redial. The company that did this redial does a good job on Omegas, but it remains to be seen what they can or will do on a Seiko, more on that latter when I recieve my GS 4520 dial back from them.
Well, I hope you enjoy these scans, and just to let you know, I`m here every day.
Cheers,
Randall
