I've also got an X -8000.......>>>>>
Mine's a 1969, and from what I've heard, it's probably just one of the last of the 7 digit serial numbers (you date them exactly the same way). As for the X, I still haven't figured out what it means. I know of at least 4 of us now. X-Men unite! LOL! :^)
