I've worked on a number of 6309-7040,7049 divers>>>>>
I can't see any difference. All the parts seem interchangable, the cases and dials look the same.
If there's a difference, someone more knowlegable than me will have the answer.
The 6309-7290 has a different style case, more like the 7002-7029, but with the bi-directional ball-bearing ratcheting system and a crystal retaining ring.
