the last digit is a region identifier
Hi Guys,
Although I don't have any official Seiko information to back this up, I've been told by some very experienced watchmakers that the last digit of the case number simply identifies which market the watch was made for. A 9 indicates that it was made for the North American market and a 0 indicates elsewhere. I've only ever seen or heard of those two numbers being used though (0 and 9) so perhaps those are the only two codes, North America and elsewhere.
