this has come up before....
in late mid to late 80's 6309-729x's were coming out, and shortly after the 7002's.
there was some production overlap from dates I have seen.
now, a "9" is definately a 1979, and an "0" definately an 1980 on and 6309-704x.
I'd even bet a case of beer an "8" is a 1978.
Now a 7, unless you know who originally bought it and when, I'm makingno bets.
