The '77 / '87 dilemma. (more)
Just speculation, but my guess is this. My 6309-7049 has ser. no. 77XXXX, with NO MENTION of being cased
in Hong Kong on the dial. It actually says :
JAPAN 6309 - 704L T.
So it would make sense that being cased in Hong Kong
would more likely happen in '87, not '77. So there it
is. A 7 serial no. NOT saying "cased in Hong Kong" would probably be '77 and "cased in Hong Kong" would be '87.
Does this logic make sense to anyone???
