Just as you said, it was interesting to me to research this.

Although Seiko made 70m "diver's-style" watches prior to 1965, yours is the one they themselves called their "1st Diver's watch."

I don't know how much you paid for this, or what kind of condition it's in, but you should know this is quite a find and may be rather valuable. Even though you love your SKX779, I really think this one is in another league. It would be rather easy to have a collection of Seiko diver's watches which was pretty well completed before you found one of these
