Hi Bob,
Perhaps "accuracy" is one of the main differences between the three watches you mention.
The Citizen Eco Drive (solar powered) and the Quartz will probably be accurate within 20 seconds or so per month, I'd imagine.
The Seiko, being an automatic (no battery inside) could lose or gain up to 30 seconds a day or so (some only gain two or three seconds per day, others up to 1 minute -- but don't worry, they can be adjusted if they run that fast).
I bought a Seiko SKX173 three weeks ago, and I'm just crazy about it! It gains about 10 seconds per day, which means I adjust it to the correct time about once a week.
There seems to be a mini "boom" of people buying automatic movement watches these days. Automatic watches have personality, I'd say. One day it might gain seven seconds, the next only three. If you place the watch upside down at night it might slow down -- or speed up! That's interesting and fun for people who love automatics.
On the other hand, some folks just like to see their watch basically right on time to the second everyday. For them, maybe a watch with a battery is better.
Here's a link for a great review of an SKX173, if you haven't already seen this.
Good luck!
