The US dollar was worth more then in Japan than it is now.
I know personally that, between 1950 and 1971, the rate of exchange was 360 yen to the dollar. It goes without saying that a dollar went further then than it does now, much further. Great article Ryan, as usual.I really enjoy reading them. Thanks.
