Some comments on Japan Yahoo Auctions

Hi Del,
In my experience, a lot of the most sought after watches on Japan Yahoo Auctions go for much more than they would on eBay, Seiko/Citizen Sales Forum, or on TimeZone's Sales Corner.
I think that is because Japan is still a rather xenophobic country, and a lot of the collectors here don't want to/are nervous to buy from abroad. So, the market for the ones in Japan is very competitive.
Unfortunately, in my experience a lot of guys who sell on JYA seem to "overhaul" vintage watches themselves, and often don't do a very good job.
On the other hand, you can get some outstanding buys on certain Seiko watches which aren't "hot" and highly sought after.
Thanks for you compliments on my post, but "Master Teacher" is a bit much! I'm just lucky I can have my wife help with translating Japanese. Actually, much of the inspiration/research for the post was her's.
Ryan
