The over all opinion seems to be the difference is cosmetic...
with the J model having the jewel count written in red on the dial.A few folks are of the opinion that the J has a nicer finish to the case and dial but they appear to be in the minority.IMO the J seems to be more desirable to collectors while the K is a better value for those wanting a watch that will be used hard.
