Some cosmetic differences...(more)
My SKX-173 rectangular markers are very sloppy...very ragged paint edges on some of the hour markers visible to the naked eye. My SKX-007J/011J both have MUCH nicer dial markers in terms of finish (they are round).
They also glow slightly brighter but that might be attributed to their shape.
The vented rubber straps are wider at the lug on the 007J/011J and not as comfortable IMHO as the more narrow SKX-173 Singapore strap. The Singapore strap also seems slightly thinner.
The SKX-173 was much more accurate out of the box (+3 per 24 hours) than the Japan models (+12 and +25) but this is probably just pot luck.
Identical cases and bezels.
