The gasket is not helium proof....
As mentioned by the designer Mr. Tokunaga, the gasket does not completely stop helium from entering the watch. It is made out of a compound that has greater resistance to helium than traditional gaskets. In light of it's greater resistance, it stil does let some helium pass through.
